Who We Are

We are a privately owned business that will create fishing adventures on Lake of the Woods with you.

Our normal fishing adventure launches from Warroad, MN. Adventures to the NW Angle, Islands, and Rainy River involve longer travel times, but are certainly available. If you are interested in alternate locations, please let us know.

Additional fisher persons can be added beyond three however this requires coordination and space is limited on the boat.

Military, Law Enforcement, First Responder, Mason and Shriner discounts are available with proper identification.

Make an offer- Days that are not booked are open to offers and generally can be taken on a moment’s notice. Have time and see an opening, make an offer and we will try to accommodate an adventure.

Your Captain:

  • Member of NPAA National Professional Anglers Association.

  • Licensed meat packer in the state of Minnesota.

  • Licensed Captain through the U.S. Coast Guard.

  • Fished Lake of the Woods since age 14.

Meet Captain Chad Maurstad of Lake of the Woods Guided Adventures LLC. Chad’s goal is to provide you with a family experience on Lake of the Woods for your fishing adventures. Chad knows that time can be a huge factor for families and when time permits, you can book a trip or make an offer for any open calendar day. We will try to make trips work at a moment’s notice because we know life happens.
